Chains around my neck
Pulling me down, to drown
Making sure that I can't float
Breath in is buried alive
I'm finding it hard just to be
Blinded by the things
that I can clearly see
It makes no sense to
learn how to swim,
When these chains are
the links to my death.
The light's trying to find its way
Through the murky remembering
Of a time not long ago
Of a time before, I ceased to be.
Shadows have taken over,
And the water washes my image away.

Life is slipping into the waves
What remains are the memories
